Network Solid
Imagine you're trying to untangle a set of Christmas lights where every bulb is tightly and intricately connected to the wires, making it difficult to separate them. A network solid is similar, as it consists of a structure where all the atoms are covalently bonded in a continuous network, making it extremely difficult to break apart. Just like the bulbs and wires create a single, intertwined system, the atoms in a network solid form a rigid, interconnected lattice, where breaking one connection requires disrupting the entire structure.
