Imagine you're taking a photograph of a speeding car with your smartphone. If you snap the picture quickly to capture its exact location, the car might appear blurry, making it hard to tell just how fast it was going. Similarly, the Heisenberg uncertainty principle tells us that the more precisely we try to measure a particle's position, the less precisely we can know its velocity, and vice versa. In both scenarios, trying to get a clear image of one aspect (location or speed) inherently makes the other aspect fuzzier.
