Sea Ice

Imagine trying to fit a large group of people into a small room for a party as more guests keep arriving. Just as people naturally fill up the available space, adjusting and squeezing together, seawater molecules push into any available space, gradually solidifying as they cool and freeze into sea ice. The party guests represent water molecules, the crowded room is the ocean surface, and the process of squeezing in represents the gradual freezing of seawater into solid ice.
