Excess Reactant

Imagine hosting a party where you buy too many snacks, and after the party ends, you have a lot of chips left over. This is similar to a chemical reaction where one reactant is used up completely, while the other remains unconsumed. In this analogy, the guests eating the snacks represent the reactants being used in the reaction, and the leftover chips are like the excess reactant that remains after the reaction has finished.
Practice Version
