Meander

Meander explained in an easy to understand way:

Imagine trying to navigate through a crowded room at a party to reach the snack table on the other side. Much like the river encountering obstacles such as rocks and uneven terrain, you are forced to take a winding path as you weave around groups of people, furniture, and other obstructions. Just as a river forms broad curves or meanders when its direct path is impeded, you too are creating a meandering path through the room to reach your goal, highlighting how both situations involve adapting your route in response to obstacles.
