This is similar to how the pupil in your eye works; it adjusts its size to control the amount of light entering the eye, ensuring you can see clearly without being overwhelmed by brightness. Just like you manipulate the blinds to manage light levels in a room, your pupil expands or contracts to regulate the light entering your eye, maintaining optimal vision.
