Saturated Zone

Imagine trying to find a place to squeeze in one more pair of shoes in an already packed closet. This is similar to the saturated zone in geology, where every tiny space in a layer of rock is completely filled with groundwater, leaving no room for more. Just as there isn't a gap for another shoe in your closet, in the saturated zone, there's no space left for additional water, because every crevice and pore is already occupied by the existing water.
Practice Version

Saturated Zone: A layer of rock where all the spaces are filled with groundwater. Saturated zone. The saturated zone is the area underground where all the pores and cracks in the rocks are completely filled with water.
